CREATIVE PSYCHOLOGY WITH DR. DUG
Instead of hearing
about your day and allowing you to stay stuck, I would rather use our time to help you connect with what is truly important to you and move you toward a life that feels meaningful.
For those of you who have previously engaged in psychotherapy, I am sure that you have had those experiences where you use a session to vent about your day or your current problems. You may feel some short-term relief, but in the long-run, nothing seems to change.
Although sitting and chatting would certainly be the easier route, let's instead trudge through some muck so that your life shifts for the better.
I provide two types of time-limited treatment:
-
GI Health Psychology is an adjunct treatment (i.e., in addition to medical treatment) for people suffering from different types of gastrointestinal disorders
-
Clinical Hypnosis can be a primary or adjunct treatment for a variety of health challenges
I look forward to connecting and figuring out a game plan!

GI Health Psychology
Can you imagine being punished every time you take a breath? Of course, no matter the consequences, you would continue breathing because misery is better than death! Similar to air, food is necessary for sustaining life and we really don't have the option of not eating. Not many people understand the mental impact that happens when something we require for life becomes a source of suffering.
GI Health Psychology focuses primarily on Disorders of Brain Gut Interaction (DGBIs) and is also effective on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
We use a combination of Clinical Hypnosis and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for a time-limited treatment.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
For many of us, the only exposure we have had to hypnotherapy has been stage hypnosis, either in real-life or on screen. What is depicted is something I would definitely not want to participate in. Who wants to lose all control and will, be made to do things, and not even remember that any of that happened?
If stage hypnosis depicted what actually happens in clinical hypnotherapy, it would look relatively un-entertaining and no one would buy tickets!
Dr. Dug treats a variety of health conditions with hypnotherapy, both in-office and virtually.
